Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Wafer Fabricator to join our semiconductor manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the fabrication process of electronic semiconductors, including loading materials into furnaces, performing precision cutting, and monitoring complex machinery. Key skills required for this role include attention to detail, technical proficiency with semiconductor equipment, and a strong understanding of crystal growth processes.
Responsibilities
- Load semiconductor materials into furnaces for processing and fabrication.
- Utilize saws to segment formed ingots into precise segments for further processing.
- Load individual segments into crystal growing chambers and monitor control parameters.
- Locate crystal axis in ingots using x-ray equipment for accurate orientation.
- Cut ingots into wafers with precision for electronic applications.
- Clean, polish, and prepare wafers for loading into specialized furnaces and chemical baths.
- Operate and maintain equipment used to form circuitry and alter conductive properties of wafers.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in semiconductor technology preferred.
- Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related fields.
- Strong understanding of wafer fabrication processes and semiconductor physics.
- Familiarity with x-ray equipment and wafer saws.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot semiconductor processing equipment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
