- Maintain accurate volunteer records, including hours worked and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments to optimize resource allocation.
- Organize volunteer appreciation events to recognize contributions and foster retention.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify volunteer opportunities and enhance community outreach.
- Monitor and evaluate the volunteer program’s impact and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in volunteer management or human resources, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to develop training materials and deliver presentations effectively.
- Proficiency in volunteer management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of best practices in volunteer engagement and retention strategies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred.
