Job Brief
The Ultrasonic Welding Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to ultrasonic welding machines and related equipment to join metal products, components, and assemblies. This role requires proficiency in welding techniques, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machine operation. Ideal candidates will have experience in a manufacturing environment, possess mechanical aptitude, and demonstrate the ability to follow precise specifications and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate ultrasonic welding machines for optimal performance and safety.
- Operate welding, soldering, or brazing machines to assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on ultrasonic welding equipment to prevent downtime.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
- Document production processes and maintain detailed records of machine performance and output.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to improve welding processes and techniques.
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience operating ultrasonic welding machines or similar equipment.
- Understanding of various welding techniques, including ultrasonic, laser, and soldering.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
