Responsibilities

- Conduct tests on various substances, such as weapons or narcotics, to gather critical information.
- Document findings and prepare detailed reports for law enforcement agencies and legal proceedings.
- Testify as an expert witness in court, providing clear and concise explanations of evidence analysis processes.
- Stay current with advancements in forensic science and lab methodologies to enhance analytical techniques.
- Collaborate with other forensic specialists, including ballistics experts and fingerprint analysts, to support case investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in forensic science, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven experience in trace evidence analysis or forensic laboratory work.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Certification in forensic science or a related discipline is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
