As a Tool Pusher, you will play a critical role in supervising and coordinating the activities of construction and extraction workers, particularly in drilling operations. Your responsibilities will include managing daily operations and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the oil and gas or construction industry, along with strong leadership skills, organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of drilling equipment and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily drilling operations and coordinate activities of workers on site.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations to promote a safe working environment.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness of tools and machinery.
- Monitor drilling progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project timelines.
- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to optimize drilling performance and efficiency.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and new team members.
- Maintain accurate records of operations and report on performance metrics.
- Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot issues related to drilling operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tool Pusher or similar supervisory role in the drilling industry.
- Strong understanding of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and make quick decisions.
- Relevant certifications in drilling operations and safety management preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to various working conditions.
