Responsibilities
- Develop detailed working diagrams and blueprints for tooling and machinery components.
- Utilize CAD software to design and simulate mechanical devices.
- Specify dimensions, fastening methods, and materials for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize design efficiency.
- Conduct design reviews and analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Update and maintain design documentation and records for tooling projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing personnel during production.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in tool design technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tool Designer or in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to tooling and machinery.
- Certification in tool design or relevant engineering credentials is a plus.
