Job Brief
The Tennis Club Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of operations within a recreational tennis facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in facility management, and a passion for promoting tennis as a popular recreational activity. The ideal candidate will oversee program development, staff management, budget administration, and member satisfaction to ensure a thriving club environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tennis programs and events that cater to all skill levels and age groups.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the tennis facility including scheduling, budgeting, and staff supervision.
- Promote the club’s services through marketing strategies and community outreach initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and foster positive relationships with club members and guests.
- Oversee the maintenance of tennis courts, equipment, and clubhouse facilities to ensure safety and functionality.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate staff, including tennis professionals, court attendants, and administrative personnel.
- Monitor financial performance of the club and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility management or recreational program coordination.
- Strong knowledge of tennis rules, regulations, and coaching methodologies.
- Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and marketing principles.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus.
