- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and system specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to coordinate installations and repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in diverse environments, including aerial and underground settings.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in telecommunications cabling.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Telephone Cable Splicer or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic and copper cable splicing techniques and industry standards.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for working with telecommunications equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
