Job Brief
The Taffy Puller is responsible for setting up and operating specialized equipment that mixes and blends ingredients in candy manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain taffy pulling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Mix and blend raw ingredients according to established recipes and production schedules.
- Monitor the candy-making process, adjusting equipment settings as necessary to achieve desired texture and flavor.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Document production data and assist in inventory management of raw materials and finished products.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize production efficiency.
- Train new employees on equipment operation and safety procedures as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in food science or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in food manufacturing, specifically in candy production or similar environments.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
