Job Brief
The AOC Operations Combat Search and Rescue Chief is responsible for overseeing the operational management of communications, detection, and weapons systems vital for coordinating air, ground, and naval operations. This role requires extensive experience in military operations and emergency management, along with strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will ensure effective communication between military forces, develop and implement strategic emergency plans, and direct the operation of advanced surveillance and targeting systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate critical communication links among air, naval, and ground forces to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive emergency plans for both natural and wartime disasters.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and agencies to ensure rapid and effective action during crises.
- Evaluate command center information to facilitate high-level military and government reporting.
- Oversee the operation of surveillance and detection systems to ensure preparedness and situational awareness.
- Provide technical guidance and advice on operational readiness and capabilities of weapons systems.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to support mission objectives.
- Conduct regular assessments and drills to ensure compliance with operational standards and readiness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in military operations with a focus on combat search and rescue missions.
- Strong knowledge of communication, detection, and weapons systems used in joint operations.
- Experience in emergency management and disaster response coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage high-pressure situations effectively.
- Technical proficiency in operating surveillance and targeting systems.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information quickly.
- Relevant military certifications and training in operations management are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and agencies.
