Job Brief
As a Swimming Professor, you will be responsible for teaching courses related to recreation, leisure, and fitness studies, including exercise physiology and facilities management. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging course content in swimming, exercise physiology, and facilities management.
- Utilize innovative teaching techniques to enhance student learning and engagement in aquatic studies.
- Assess student performance through examinations, projects, and practical evaluations.
- Conduct research in relevant areas of swimming and aquatic education, publishing findings in academic journals.
- Advise and mentor students on academic and career pathways within the field of recreation and fitness.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to improve curriculum and program offerings related to swimming and fitness.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and community outreach activities to promote aquatic safety and education.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching swimming and aquatic education at the collegiate level.
- Strong knowledge of exercise physiology and facilities management principles.
- Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid is required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students in a diverse learning environment.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies.
