Job Brief
The Surface To Air Weapons Officer (SAWO) plays a critical role in managing personnel and coordinating weapons operations to effectively neutralize enemy threats, including positions, aircraft, and naval vessels. This position requires advanced planning, targeting, and tactical deployment of field artillery and air defense artillery missile systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in directing fire control communications systems, launching intercontinental ballistic missiles, and ensuring the security of nuclear munitions while maintaining weapons systems.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute tactical operations for the deployment of surface-to-air missile systems and field artillery.
- Coordinate targeting and engagement strategies to destroy enemy aircraft, vessels, and ground positions.
- Direct the establishment and operation of fire control communications systems to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Oversee the targeting and launching of intercontinental ballistic missiles in accordance with strategic objectives.
- Manage the storage, handling, and security of nuclear munitions and related components.
- Ensure the safety and operational readiness of weapons storage and launch facilities.
- Supervise maintenance and inspections of weapons systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Train and mentor personnel on weapons operations and tactical engagement procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Military Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in military operations, specifically in surface-to-air weapons systems.
- Proven expertise in fire control systems and missile targeting procedures.
- Certification in weapons management and safety protocols.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and direct personnel effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various military units and command structures.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments while maintaining situational awareness.
