Job Brief
As a Streetcar Repairer Helper, you will assist skilled technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of streetcars and related equipment. Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of streetcar systems and components.
- Support repair workers by providing tools, materials, and supplies necessary for repairs.
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Hold materials or tools for technicians during repair and maintenance processes.
- Participate in the troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical and electrical issues.
- Document repair activities and assist in inventory management of parts and supplies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and hazards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or electrical systems is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during maintenance activities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in a maintenance or repair role is preferred but not mandatory.
