Job Brief
The Stinger Anti-Terrorist Weapon (ATW) Operator Maintenanceman is responsible for targeting, firing, and maintaining advanced weapon systems designed to neutralize enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. This role requires proficiency in operating and maintaining weapons systems, including missiles and rockets, as well as conducting preventive and routine maintenance. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in field artillery operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate complex targeting and firing computer systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate Stinger anti-terrorist weapon systems for effective targeting and engagement of enemy threats.
- Conduct routine inspections, tests, and maintenance of weapons and ammunition to ensure operational readiness.
- Establish and maintain radio and wire communications for coordinated operations.
- Manage the storage and handling of missiles, torpedoes, and other munitions in compliance with safety protocols.
- Utilize weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems effectively to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and operational readiness of weapon systems.
- Participate in training exercises to ensure proficiency with weapon systems and operational procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training in artillery or related fields preferred.
- Proven experience as a weapons operator or maintainanceman, particularly with Stinger systems.
- Strong understanding of artillery systems, munitions, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments while maintaining focus on safety and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in weapon system operations.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and command structures.
- Certification in weapons handling and maintenance is a plus.
