Job Brief
The Stereoptician is responsible for setting up and operating motion picture projection and sound reproduction equipment to deliver high-quality visual and auditory experiences. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain motion picture projection equipment.
- Configure and adjust sound reproduction devices for optimal audio quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on projection and sound systems.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of multimedia presentations.
- Monitor performance during screenings and make real-time adjustments as necessary.
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance schedules.
- Train and assist staff in the operation of projection and sound equipment.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the audio-visual industry.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Stereoptician or similar role in film and audio-visual settings.
- Strong technical knowledge of motion picture projection and sound reproduction systems.
- Familiarity with various audio-visual equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications in audio-visual technology or related fields are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
