Job Brief
As a Speech Pathologist, you will assess and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to improve communication skills and enhance client outcomes.
- Select and train clients in the use of alternative communication systems and devices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals, to support client progress.
- Document client progress and modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Perform research related to speech and language disorders to contribute to the field’s knowledge base.
- Provide education and support to clients’ families to facilitate effective communication strategies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
- Strong understanding of speech and language development, disorders, and treatment techniques.
- Proficient in using assessment tools and therapeutic techniques for diverse populations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated with industry trends and research.
