Job Brief
As a Social Scientist, you will investigate complex social phenomena utilizing qualitative and quantitative research methods. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing research studies, analyzing data, and interpreting results to inform public policy, community programs, or organizational strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a background in social science research, holding at least a Master’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to support research topics and hypotheses.
- Design and execute surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
- Analyze and interpret research findings using statistical software and other analytical tools.
- Prepare and present reports to stakeholders, summarizing research insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement research initiatives and address social issues.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and methodologies in social science research.
- Contribute to grant proposals and funding applications for research projects.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social science research methodologies and data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or STATA) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams and engage with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ethical standards in research and human subjects protection.
- Experience in grant writing and project management is a plus.
