Job Brief
As a Ski Lift Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ski lifts and gondolas at a winter sports facility. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and safety compliance. Responsibilities
- Operate ski lifts and gondolas, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers.
- Monitor lift operations, performing regular safety checks and maintenance as needed.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading from lifts, providing clear instructions and support.
- Manage lift queues and communicate effectively with guests to enhance their experience.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly, following established safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized lift area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Provide information on ski resort facilities, trails, and safety guidelines to guests.
- Work collaboratively with other ski resort staff to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in recreation or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and lift heavy equipment as needed.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting lift operations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to ski lifts.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
