Job Brief
As a Sewer Pipe Layer Helper, you will support skilled plumbers, pipefitters, steamfitters, and pipelayers by performing essential tasks that require less specialized skills. This role involves assisting with the installation and maintenance of sewer pipes, cleaning work areas, and managing tools and materials. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of sewer pipes and related infrastructure under the supervision of skilled tradespeople.
- Supply and hold tools and materials as needed during construction activities.
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks on the job site.
- Support the transportation and loading of materials to construction sites.
- Participate in training and skill development to enhance work abilities and safety practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and pipe laying techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation to job sites.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies in the plumbing field.
