Job Brief
As a Serology Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine medical laboratory tests that are essential for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Working under the supervision of a medical technologist, you will analyze blood samples and other bodily fluids to detect the presence of antibodies and pathogens. Responsibilities
- Conduct serological tests to detect antibodies and antigens in blood samples.
- Prepare specimens and reagents for analysis, ensuring accurate measurements and proper handling.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
- Document test results and maintain accurate records in compliance with laboratory protocols.
- Follow quality control procedures to ensure reliable and valid test outcomes.

Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment used in serology testing.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is a plus.
