Job Brief
The Maintenance and Custodian Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of cleaning personnel across various establishments, such as hotels, hospitals, and offices. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily cleaning operations and maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate work schedules and assign duties to custodial staff to maximize efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance issues and ensure cleanliness.
- Implement training programs for staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment.
- Prepare and maintain reports on staff performance, supply usage, and facility conditions.
- Collaborate with management to develop and enforce maintenance policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve any staff or customer concerns related to facility cleanliness and maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facility maintenance and custodial management.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with inventory management and procurement processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in maintenance or cleaning preferred.
