Job Brief
As a Septic Tank Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of septic tanks, sewer lines, and drains. This role requires hands-on experience in handling wastewater systems, performing inspections, and executing repairs on damaged components. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in various environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and pumping of septic tanks to maintain optimal functionality.
- Inspect and assess the condition of septic systems and sewer lines for repairs or maintenance needs.
- Repair breaks in underground piping and replace damaged drain tiles as necessary.
- Patch walls and partitions of septic tanks to ensure structural integrity.
- Maintain safety protocols while handling hazardous materials and equipment.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records for each job.
- Provide exceptional customer service while educating clients on septic system maintenance.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding septic system operations and environmental safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in wastewater management or plumbing preferred.
- Proven experience in septic tank cleaning, plumbing, or related field.
- Knowledge of septic system components and repair techniques.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and hazardous materials handling.
