Job Brief

The Semiconductor Development Technician plays a crucial role in the design, development, and enhancement of semiconductor devices and systems. Working under the guidance of engineering staff, you will apply your knowledge of electrical and electronic theory to construct, troubleshoot, and modify electrical components and circuits. This position requires a strong foundation in semiconductor technology, as well as proficiency in testing and evaluation processes to support engineering design decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of semiconductor devices and integrated circuits.
  • Build and assemble electrical components, circuitry, and controls for testing purposes.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on semiconductor equipment and systems.
  • Modify existing electronic designs to improve performance and functionality.
  • Perform tests and evaluations on prototypes, documenting results for engineering review.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to meet project specifications and timelines.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate measurements and results.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working in laboratory environments.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in semiconductor testing, development, or fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic theory, including analog and digital circuits.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and methodologies.
  • Proficient in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
