Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Screen Printing Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various printing machines, including digital, letterpress, lithographic, flexographic, and gravure presses. This role requires a solid understanding of printing techniques and processes, along with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Candidates should have hands-on experience in short-run offset printing and possess strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust screen printing machines to produce high-quality printed materials.
- Monitor printing processes to ensure accurate registration, color matching, and quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Review job orders and specifications to determine the appropriate materials and processes needed.
- Manage the mixing of inks and other materials to achieve desired color outputs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Train and mentor junior operators in machine setup and printing techniques.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Screen Printing Machine Operator or similar role in the printing industry.
- Strong knowledge of various printing techniques, including digital, flexographic, and offset printing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Familiarity with color theory and the ability to accurately match colors.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in printing technology are a plus.
