Job Brief
As a Savings Teller, you will be responsible for managing cash transactions, including receiving and paying out money for various banking services. Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer deposits and withdrawals accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all monetary transactions and negotiable instruments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Verify customer identification and account information to ensure compliance with banking regulations.
- Balance cash drawers and ensure accountability for all funds at the end of each shift.
- Promote banking products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Assist with the training of new tellers and staff as needed.
- Adhere to security and compliance protocols to protect customer information and assets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or banking is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a teller or cash handling role within a financial institution.
- Strong numerical skills with a high level of accuracy in cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions.
- Proficiency in using banking software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
