Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of salvaged materials and equipment to determine their condition and potential for reuse.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of salvage operations, including the recovery and transportation of materials.
  • Utilize engineering principles and technical expertise to troubleshoot issues and develop repair strategies.
  • Document findings and prepare reports detailing salvage operations and material evaluations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Implement best practices for waste minimization and sustainable salvage techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventories and project progress.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior staff and interns in salvage engineering processes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in salvage operations or a related engineering technician role.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and salvage methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and equipment used in salvage operations.
  • Certification in safety management or hazardous materials handling is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
