Job Brief
The Relocatable Over The Horizon Radar Watch Officer is responsible for managing the operation of advanced communications, detection, and weapons systems crucial for facilitating air, ground, and naval operations. This role requires a strong background in military operations and technology, with an emphasis on coordinating emergency responses, evaluating command center data, and providing critical technical advice on system capabilities and readiness. Candidates should possess exceptional analytical skills and be adept in high-pressure environments to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate communication links between air, naval, and ground forces to ensure seamless coordination during operations.
- Formulate and implement emergency plans for both natural disasters and wartime scenarios.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and agencies to facilitate timely and effective responses.
- Evaluate and analyze command center information to generate high-level military and government reports.
- Oversee the operation of surveillance and detection systems to monitor and assess threats.
- Provide technical information and advice regarding system capabilities and operational readiness to senior leadership.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to ensure precision and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular training and assessments to maintain the readiness of personnel and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Military Science, Defense Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in military operations, radar systems, or related defense technologies.
- Proficiency with communication and detection systems used in military applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities to liaise with various military branches.
- Certification in relevant military operations or systems management is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are mandatory.
