Job Brief
The Religious Activities Director plays a vital role in coordinating and designing programs that promote religious education and community engagement within a denominational group. Responsibilities
- Design and implement educational programs that align with the religious values and mission of the organization.
- Coordinate outreach initiatives to promote community engagement and participation in religious activities.
- Provide counseling and support services to individuals and families facing marital, health, financial, or spiritual challenges.
- Organize and lead religious ceremonies, events, and workshops to enhance community involvement.
- Develop and manage volunteer programs to encourage community members to actively participate in church activities.
- Collaborate with other religious organizations and community groups to foster partnerships and outreach opportunities.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and seek feedback to continuously improve religious activities.
- Maintain accurate records of community engagement and program participation for reporting and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in program management, community outreach, or religious education.
- Strong counseling skills with a focus on interpersonal communication and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with event planning and community engagement strategies.
- Certification in counseling or related fields is a plus.
