Job Brief
As a Relationship Counselor, you will diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage and family systems. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ emotional and behavioral health to identify issues within relationships.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing psychotherapeutic techniques.
- Facilitate individual, couple, and family therapy sessions to address mental and emotional disorders.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to promote emotional healing and relationship improvement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with professional standards.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in distress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in relationship counseling and mental health.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical counseling setting.
- Strong knowledge of family systems theory and psychotherapeutic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective counseling.
- Proficiency in client assessment and treatment planning.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Certification in specialized therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, EFT) is a plus.
