Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies. You will work closely with radiologists to calculate and prepare doses of radioactive materials, ensuring patient safety and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent attention to detail, and experience with a variety of radioisotope equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of radioactive materials in patient studies.
- Calculate appropriate doses of radioactive substances to be administered by radiologists.
- Execute blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies following established laboratory protocols.
- Maintain and calibrate radioisotope equipment to ensure accurate and safe operation.
- Monitor patient conditions pre- and post-procedure to identify any adverse reactions.
- Document all procedures and findings in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and treatment plans.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or NMTCB).
- Associate’s degree or higher in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
- Proven experience in administering and measuring radioactive isotopes.
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and radiation safety protocols.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of radioisotope equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient care and safety.
