The Recreational Activities Aide plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for participants through engaging and diverse recreational programs. Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement recreational activities that cater to the interests and abilities of participants.
- Facilitate group activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all members.
- Promote programs through outreach efforts and encourage community involvement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and gather participant feedback for continuous improvement.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational facilities and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and program outcomes.
- Collaborate with other staff and volunteers to organize special events and community programs.
- Provide support and mentorship to participants, fostering social interaction and teamwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in recreational programming or related fields preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective participant engagement.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of recreational activities, safety protocols, and first aid procedures.
- Experience in organizing and leading group activities or programs.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
