Job Brief
As a Recreation Attendant Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of entertainment and recreation staff, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and engaging environment for participants. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in recreational program development, and a passion for enhancing community engagement. Ideal candidates will possess a background in recreation management or related fields and demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train recreation attendants and support staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate recreational programs that meet the needs of diverse community groups.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.
- Manage scheduling and logistics for recreational activities, including events, tournaments, and workshops.
- Maintain and oversee equipment and facility maintenance to ensure a safe recreational environment.
- Engage with community members to promote programs and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports on program effectiveness and attendance for management review.
- Coordinate with other departments and external organizations to facilitate partnerships and event planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within recreation, hospitality, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of recreational programming and facility management principles.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to recreational activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficient in using recreational management software and MS Office Suite.
