Job Brief

The Reconsignment Clerk is responsible for verifying and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring efficient inventory management. This role involves meticulously recording merchandise, coordinating transportation logistics, and preparing items for shipment. Ideal candidates will possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and experience in inventory control or logistics, contributing to streamlined operations and improved customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming merchandise and material against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and shipment activities.
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements for outgoing products to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare items for shipment, including packaging and labeling according to company standards.
  • Communicate with suppliers and carriers to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment processes.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking shipments and inventory.
  • Adhere to safety and compliance regulations related to shipping and receiving processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, shipping, or logistics roles.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers, carriers, and team members.
  • Basic understanding of shipping regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to lift and move products as needed in a warehouse setting.
