Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced Pulpwood Dealer to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of wood products and the pulpwood market, and will be responsible for selling pulpwood to wholesalers and manufacturers. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, a strong understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. Candidates should possess a proven sales track record and the ability to identify market trends to maximize sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers, manufacturers, and other key stakeholders in the pulpwood industry.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market share.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to ensure competitive positioning and profitability.
- Provide expert knowledge on pulpwood products, including quality, pricing, and availability.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to management.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to promote products and enhance networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pulpwood Dealer or in a similar sales role within the forestry or wood products industry.
- Strong understanding of pulpwood specifications, quality standards, and pricing structures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and trends to drive sales strategy.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales management tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Business, or a related field preferred.
