Job Brief
As a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals facing personal, social, and vocational challenges due to various life circumstances such as illness, accidents, or aging. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and challenges.
- Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs focused on personal and vocational growth.
- Provide counseling and support to clients coping with psychosocial difficulties.
- Coordinate and facilitate group activities and therapy sessions within care and treatment facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client care.
- Monitor client progress and adjust rehabilitation strategies as necessary.
- Assist clients in job placement and vocational training opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and program outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Proven experience in psychosocial rehabilitation counseling or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and vocational support services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Valid state licensure or certification in counseling or social work preferred.
- Proficiency in case management and client assessment tools.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in client care.
