Job Brief

The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Assembler is responsible for the assembly and modification of electromechanical devices, including servomechanisms, gyros, dynamometers, and various control systems. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in technical assembly, and a solid understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly, wiring, and testing, along with the ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and modify electromechanical equipment and devices, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of PLC systems, identifying and rectifying faults in control circuitry and programming.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to execute precise assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve assembly processes and product functionality.
  • Document assembly procedures and maintain accurate records of modifications and repairs performed.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in electromechanical assembly, specifically with PLCs and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles, including circuitry and PLC programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment relevant to electromechanical assembly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers and production staff.
