Job Brief

As a Postal Mail Carrier, you will be responsible for sorting and delivering mail for the United States Postal Service (USPS) along established routes, using either a vehicle or walking. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in delivery services or logistics, embodying a commitment to customer service and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and organize mail and packages for delivery based on established routes.
  • Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any undelivered items.
  • Interact with customers to address inquiries and provide exceptional service.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies with mail delivery to supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating a vehicle or walking.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance as required.
  • Assist in training new postal service employees as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 70 lbs) and walk long distances.
  • Prior experience in delivery, logistics, or customer service preferred.
  • Familiarity with postal regulations and procedures is advantageous.
