Job Brief
The Plant Chief plays a critical role in overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations within a facility. This position involves planning, directing, and coordinating work activities and resources to ensure products are manufactured according to cost, quality, and quantity specifications. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations to ensure efficient production workflows and adherence to safety standards.
- Develop and implement production strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor production processes, ensuring compliance with quality and safety regulations.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and optimize operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance product quality.
- Manage resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to uphold quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to foster a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant Chief or in a similar manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in manufacturing software and data analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
