Job Brief

As a Pickle Maker, you will play a vital role in the food production process by setting up and operating equipment to mix and blend ingredients for high-quality pickles. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow established recipes and safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have experience in food manufacturing, particularly in fermentation processes, and possess strong organizational skills alongside a commitment to quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain equipment used in the pickle production process.
  • Mix and blend ingredients according to standardized recipes to achieve desired flavor and texture.
  • Monitor and adjust temperatures, pressures, and other variables throughout the production process.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure product meets safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
  • Document production processes, ingredient usage, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Assist in training new staff on equipment operation and food safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food safety or production preferred.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, particularly in pickle or food product production.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot industrial food processing equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of fermentation processes is a plus.
