Job Brief
The Picking Crew Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of agricultural, forestry, aquacultural, and related workers within a production environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate picking crew activities to ensure timely and accurate harvesting of crops and products.
- Monitor crew performance and implement training programs to enhance skills and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
- Develop and implement efficient work schedules to optimize labor resources.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members to report progress and address any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of crew performance, production metrics, and inventory levels.
- Resolve conflicts and provide support to crew members to promote a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience in agricultural operations or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in agriculture and harvesting.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze production data and implement improvements for efficiency.
- Proficiency in using agricultural equipment and tools relevant to the role.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain operational standards.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
- A degree in agricultural science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
