Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated Linoleum Layer Helper to support our flooring installation team in executing high-quality linoleum flooring projects. The ideal candidate will assist experienced linoleum layer professionals in measuring, cutting, and installing linoleum materials effectively. This entry-level position requires hands-on experience in construction or a related field, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in measuring and cutting linoleum to precise dimensions for installation.
- Support the linoleum layer in preparing surfaces, including cleaning and leveling floors.
- Carry and position linoleum rolls, ensuring they are properly aligned for installation.
- Help with the application of adhesives and other materials necessary for a secure installation.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and workflows.
- Assist in the removal of old flooring materials as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in construction preferred.
- Basic understanding of flooring installation techniques and tools.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
