Job Brief
The Physiotherapy Assistant plays a vital role in supporting physical therapists in delivering high-quality physical therapy treatments and procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
- Conduct patient assessments and document progress accurately in patient records.
- Modify treatment techniques based on patient feedback and progress.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
- Educate patients on exercises and rehabilitation techniques as directed by the physical therapist.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients throughout their therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and recovery outcomes.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and ethical standards in physical therapy practice.
Requirements
- Formal training in physiotherapy assistance or a related field.
- Certification as a Physiotherapy Assistant or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, exercise techniques, and rehabilitation practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in documenting patient progress and using electronic health records (EHR).
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and rehabilitation exercises.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
