Job Brief
As an SSN/SSBN Weapons Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in the effective operation and maintenance of advanced weaponry systems utilized in naval combat. Your primary responsibilities will include targeting, firing, and ensuring the integrity of weapons designed to engage enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. Responsibilities
- Target and fire weapons systems, including torpedoes and missiles, to neutralize enemy threats.
- Conduct thorough testing, inspection, and storage of ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes to ensure operational readiness.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on all weaponry and related equipment to maintain peak performance standards.
- Establish and maintain effective radio and wire communications to coordinate operations with team members and command units.
- Operate advanced weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to facilitate accurate engagement of targets.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during weapons operation and maintenance processes.
- Participate in training exercises to enhance combat readiness and proficiency in the use of weapons systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training in weapons operation preferred.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining weapons systems, including military artillery and naval systems.
- Strong understanding of targeting and firing procedures, as well as weapons safety protocols.
- Technical proficiency with weapons targeting and launch computer systems.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and make quick decisions during combat operations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse military personnel.
- Willingness to undergo continuous training and professional development in weapons technology and tactics.
