Job Brief
As a Physiotherapy Aide, you will support physical therapists and physical therapy assistants in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments by ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the process.
- Assist physical therapists in setting up and maintaining treatment areas and equipment.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Help patients with mobility and basic exercises under the guidance of supervising professionals.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in healthcare or physical therapy preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy practices.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not required.
- Physical stamina to assist patients and perform duties that may require lifting or standing for extended periods.
- Current CPR certification is a plus.
