Job Brief

Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and inventory management to support pharmacy operations.
- Assist in the preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounding as required.
- Provide exemplary customer service by answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns related to medications.
- Handle and process prescription orders efficiently, including verifying insurance information and processing payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical products, regulations, and industry trends to enhance professional knowledge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred.
- Active pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCB or NHA) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medication dosage, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology for medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus.
