Job Brief
As a Pharmacist Aide, you will support licensed pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. Your primary responsibilities will include managing inventory, recording incoming medications, and assisting with the preparation of prescriptions. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Record and track drugs delivered to the pharmacy to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Store incoming merchandise according to established procedures to maintain optimal organization.
- Notify the pharmacy supervisor of stock needs and assist in inventory replenishment.
- Assist in accepting prescriptions for filling and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Operate the cash register and manage transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area to promote a safe environment.
- Provide friendly and informative customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills essential for effective inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, pharmacists, and team members.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and the ability to handle cash transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and electronic health records is a plus.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication classifications preferred.
