Job Brief
As a Pasteurizer Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining continuous flow or vat-type pasteurization equipment to ensure the safe processing of food and beverage products. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate continuous flow or vat-type pasteurization equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings, including temperature and pressure, to maintain optimal pasteurization conditions.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on pasteurization equipment, including filter presses, centrifuges, and evaporating tanks.
- Conduct quality control checks on processed products to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Document production data, equipment performance, and maintenance activities accurately for operational reporting.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in food processing or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience operating pasteurization equipment or similar machinery in a food processing environment.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to food processing and pasteurization.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting purposes.
