Job Brief

As an Operational Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization by identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across various departments. You will be responsible for formulating and implementing risk management policies, driving strategic initiatives, and managing day-to-day operational activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments and analyses to quantify risk exposure and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure risk management policies are integrated into operational procedures.
  • Monitor and report on risk metrics, presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting operational risk management.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and regulators regarding operational risk matters.
  • Oversee the development of contingency plans and disaster recovery strategies to minimize operational disruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational risk management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools, as well as data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
