Job Brief
We are seeking a Certified Professional Ergonomist to evaluate and enhance workplace environments, focusing on the prevention of injuries and diseases related to ergonomic factors and other workplace hazards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ergonomics, health and safety regulations, and risk assessment. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to implement effective ergonomic programs that promote employee well-being and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of work environments to identify ergonomic risks and safety issues.
- Design and implement ergonomic programs and procedures aimed at reducing workplace injuries.
- Analyze data from workplace assessments to develop recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with management and staff to promote ergonomic best practices and compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops on ergonomics and workplace safety.
- Perform inspections and ensure adherence to relevant health and safety laws and regulations.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in ergonomic practices and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in ergonomics, occupational health, safety, or a related field.
- Certification as a Professional Ergonomist (CPE) is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ergonomics, industrial hygiene, or occupational health.
- Strong knowledge of ergonomic assessment tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting software.
