Job Brief
As an Opera Singer, you will showcase your exceptional vocal talent and perform a wide range of operatic repertoire, contributing to live stage productions, broadcasting events, and sound or video recordings. Responsibilities
- Perform operatic solos and ensemble pieces in various productions, demonstrating vocal techniques and emotional expression.
- Collaborate with musical directors and conductors to interpret and deliver the score accurately.
- Attend rehearsals and contribute to the artistic development of productions through feedback and creative input.
- Prepare and maintain vocal health through warm-up exercises, vocal training, and proper techniques.
- Engage with audiences through stage presence and effective communication during performances.
- Record audio and video performances for promotional materials, broadcasts, or educational purposes.
- Participate in auditions and competitions to secure performance opportunities.
- Continuously seek professional development through workshops, coaching, and master classes to enhance vocal skills and artistry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Vocal Performance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an opera singer with a strong portfolio of performances.
- Exceptional vocal range and technique, with proficiency in multiple languages commonly used in opera, including Italian, German, and French.
- Strong understanding of music theory and sight-reading skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and adapt to various artistic directions.
- Experience in stage performance and a strong stage presence.
- Professional training or certifications in vocal performance is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for performances and auditions as required.
